This 12-acre project site is located at the intersection of State Highway #73 and Fellowship Road in Mount Laurel Township, New Jersey. With close proximity to Interstate-295 and Exit #4 of the New Jersey Turnpike, this site is the ideal location for an upscale hotel. The site was previously known as the “Laurel Inn”, which was constructed in the late 1960’s.
The redevelopment consists of a 155-room aloft Hotel, 8,200 SF retail pad site and renovation of the 53,000 SF offices into an 80-room Super-8 Hotel, which opened in October 2009.
Pennoni provided Civil/Site Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Traffic Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Surveying and Inspection & Testing services. We worked closely with the owner and the project design team to develop an efficient and cost effective solution to control stormwater runoff volumes and water quality associated with this development project.
Located in a “Redevelopment Zone”, this project presented the Pennoni design team with a number of challenges during the approval process. As a result of Pennoni’s dedicated project team and experience in this type of development, all approvals were obtained in a timely manner.
